Club Olympia finished second out of 12 teams from northwest Indiana and northeast Illinois in the 2020 Munster Swim Club Sprints Invitational.
Swimmers from Club Olympia recorded 25 individual event titles, 19 runner-up finishes, one relay winner and two runner-up relays. They had six first-place high point award winners, two second-place high point winners and three third-place high point winners.
Claire Liu won all five of her Girls 6-and-under events, the 25-yard freestyle, 25 breaststroke, 25 backstroke, 25 butterfly and 50 freestyle, to win high point for her age group with 100 points.
Tony Machavariani won all five of his Boys 7-year-old races, the 25 freestyle, 25 breaststroke, 25 backstroke, 25 butterfly and 50 freestyle, to win high point with 100 points.
Joshua Pendleton also scored 100 points by winning all five of his Boys 9-year-old races, the 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke, 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly and 100 freestyle, to win high point for his age.
Nalanie Cortez won the Girls 13-and-over 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly and came in second in the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke to win the Girls 13-14 high point with 94 points.
Misha Machavariani won the Boys 11-12 50 breaststroke and 50 backstroke and placed second in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 50 butterfly to finish with 91 points and won the high point award for his age group.
Vivan Shah won the Boys 6U 25 butterfly and 50 freestyle and finished second in the 25 backstroke and 25 breaststroke and fourth in the 25 freestyle after an equipment malfunction on his start to win high point with 89 points.
Brady Beyer scored 88 points by winning the Boys 15-and-over 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and taking second in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly and fifth in the 50 freestyle. There was no high point scoring for the 15-and-over age group.
Shreyan Kulkarni finished in second in the Boys 7-year-old 25 freestyle, 50 freestyle and 25 butterfly and was third in the 25 breaststroke and 25 backstroke to earn the second-place award for high point for his age with 83 points.
Lily Pendleton scored 81 points by finishing second in the Girls 7-year-old 25 backstroke and 50 freestyle, third in the 25 freestyle and 25 breaststroke and fourth in the 25 butterfly to win the second-place high point award for her age.
Todd Hundley placed second in the Boys 11-12 50 breaststroke, third in the 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke and 50 butterfly and fourth in the 100 freestyle, to earn 80 points and get the third-place high point award for his age group with 80 points.
Avi Banerjee finished second in the Boys 7-year-old 25 backstroke and 25 breaststroke, third in the 25 butterfly, fourth in the 25 freestyle and fifth in the 50 freestyle to finish third in high point with 79 points for his age.
Ashley Freel placed third in the Girls 13-and-over 100 backstroke and fourth in the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle in scoring 65 points to win the third-place award for high point her age group.
Connelly Furnish won the Girls 10-year-old 50 Breaststroke. The Girls 11-and-over 200 Free A relay won with Ashley Freel, Maggie Johnson, Hope Westphal and Nalanie Cortez.
