The majority of Club Olympia swimmers finished the summer long course season on a high note with 17 competing against 22 other teams in last weekend’s Indiana Central East Divisional Championships at Franklin.

Nine Club Olympia swimmers competed in the maximum limit of six individual events. Joshua Pendleton led the way winning, the 10U Boys 50 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 200 individual medley. He also was also second in the 50 backstroke and third in the 100 breaststroke.

Connelly Furnish won the 10U Girls 100 freestyle and placed second in the 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 200 IM, eighth in the 50 backstroke and 15th in the 100 Backstroke.

Zoie Chandelkar won the 10U Girls 50 breaststroke and took fourth in the 50 backstroke, fifth in the 100 breaststroke, seventh in the 200 IM, 10th in the 50 butterfly and 11th in the 100 freestyle. Cole Ehara was first in the 13-14 Boys 200 butterfly, fourth in the 500 freestyle, sixth in the 200 breaststroke, seventh in the 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle and 13th in the 100 Backstroke.

Daniella Preston placed fifth in the 11-12 Girls 500 freestyle, eighth in the 50 butterfly, 10th in the 100 butterfly and 11th in the 100 backstroke. Sanaa Kulkarni was sixth in the 10U Girls 50 breaststroke, eighth in the 100 butterfly, 12th in the 100 breaststroke and 16th in the 50 butterfly and 200 freestyle.

Hannah Manlief was 12th in the Girls Open 200 freestyle, 14th in the 200 backstroke, 15th in the 200IM and 16th in the 500 freestyle. Grier Lane placed 13th in the 10U Girls 100 butterfly, 14th in the 200 freestyle, 15th in the 50 freestyle and 16th in the 50 backstroke.

Advika Badve placed third in the 10U Girls 50 breaststroke, fourth in the 100 backstroke, ninth in the 50 backstroke and 11th in the 100 breaststroke. Cassidy Furnish finished ninth in the 11-12 Girls 500 freestyle, 13th in the 200 freestyle and 16th in the 200 IM.

Swimming in just four events, and two of them in the Boys Open age group, was Misha Machavariani. He had age group state cuts in all but two of the 11-12 events. He won the 11-12 Boys 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke and was 11th in the Open 500 freestyle and 16th in the 200 backstroke.

Advika Badve, Zoie Chandelkar, Grier Lane and Connelly Furnish won the 10U Girls 200 freestyle relay. Yashika Mehta, 12, combined with Cassidy Furnish, Brooklyn Pendleton and Daniella Preston to place 12th in both the 11-12 Girls 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays.

Aayush Das and Shreyan Kulkarni combined with Tony Machavariani and Joshua Pendleton to place fifth in the 10U Boys 200 freestyle relay. Tony Machavariani also was seventh in the 200 Freestyle.

Jennings swimmer scores

Todd Hundley represented Jennings County Swim Team at the Divisional Championships.

Hundley, who has been training with Club Olympia the past three-to-four weeks, swam best times in all four of his events. He won the 11-12 Boys 100 butterfly and was second in the 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle and fifth in the 50 breaststroke.
